SCIENCE MUSEUM LIBRARY

As a part of the large-scale reconstruction of the Polytechnic museum in Moscow, SVESMi has been invited to redesign its scientific library which has the largest collection of science-related publications in Russia.

The design concept strives to highlight the existing structure of the building and extrapolates its qualities onto the new and unique interior elements.

In this project furniture design and architecture merge into the harmonious composition: the space of the library is very reserved and perfectly fit for solitary work, but is also iconic and energetic in terms of shapes and colours.
