THE PORT OF PRAGUE

The Port of Prague concept has a large public multifunctional lobby at its foundation. This generous, easily accessible ground-floor plate unites the parcels on both sides of the flyover into one coherent whole, while also reinforcing the street structure of the Florenc master-plan. Urban lobby is optimal for fairs, markets, and conventions of all sorts, but it also acts as an infrastructure of convenience during bad weather. Its presence transforms the back facades of B01 buildings into primary addresses of the new area.
Two buildings with iconic character frame the flyover as if guarding the entrance into the city. Their silhouettes form a recognisable pair adding a new binary accent to the city skyline and at the same time engaging the busy highway into their dynamic scenography.
